Investor Onboarding

KYC, e-Mandates & Starting Your Investment

The 4 official steps every new mutual fund investor completes before their first SIP or lump sum purchase. All procedures are digital, secure, and compliant with SEBI & AMFI requirements.

1

Complete or Update Digital KYC (Know Your Customer)

Mandatory one-time verification across all AMCs

Paperless · 5-10 mins

KYC registration is legally required before investing in any mutual fund in India. Once your KYC is verified with any SEBI-registered KRA (CVL, CAMS, NDML, Karvy, DotEx), it is valid across all 40+ mutual fund companies. If you are a new investor, or need to modify your existing address/email/mobile number, use either of the authorized digital KYC gateways below:

UTI Digital KYC Gateway

Quick Aadhaar OTP & video in-person verification (IPV) for first-time mutual fund investors.

2

Register Your CAN (Common Account Number)

Single reference number across the mutual fund industry

MF Utilities (MFU)

MF Utilities (MFU) is an industry-backed transaction portal established by participating AMCs. A CAN (Common Account Number) allows you to map all your existing and future mutual fund folios, bank mandates, and nominees under a single consolidated account number.

3

Set Up an Auto-Debit e-Mandate

Automatic debit via NetBanking or Debit Card

CAMS e-Mandate

An e-Mandate authorises your bank to debit recurring SIP amounts on your selected dates automatically without manual net banking approval each month. It operates securely under NPCI / NACH protocols. Register your e-Mandate once through CAMS to power SIPs across supported fund houses.

4

Start Investing with ARN-96522

Execute purchases, switches, or systematic plans

Direct & Seamless

Once your CAN and KYC are active, you can immediately initiate SIPs or lump sum purchases. All units are issued directly by the AMCs into your folio or demat account, with Namit Thakkar (ARN-96522) mapped for ongoing servicing, statements, and transaction support.
